This short 4 Days Uganda gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari will take you to Kibale Forest National Park to track chimpanzees and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park to monitor mountain gorillas. The journey begins and concludes in Kigali, Rwanda. The trip begins and ends in Kigali, Rwanda.

Day 1: Pickup from Kigali and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 4: Transfer Back to Kigali
4 Days Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Safari
Day 1: Pickup from Kigali and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
On this day, our driver guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Kigali and bring you to Kibale Forest National Park. You will be picked up from your accommodation to begin the seven-hour trip to Kibale. You’ll travel through Rwanda’s gorgeous scenery and hills before crossing the Katuna border. You will need to stop at the border for immigration. After crossing the border, you’ll travel for two hours before stopping in Mbarara for lunch.
Proceed with your drive to Kibale National Park, arriving in the evening where your will then check into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
On this day, you will eat an early breakfast, pack your luggage, and travel to the Kanyanchu visitors’ information center for a general briefing on chimpanzee tracking. After the briefing, you will be divided into small groups and assigned a guide who will accompany you to and from the forest. After the activities, you will have lunch and then drive to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for supper and overnight stay.
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On the third day of your 4 Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking safari, you will eat breakfast at 6:30am before driving to the park headquarters at 7am. After arriving at the park headquarters, you will join the other tourists for a general briefing.
You will be educated on the dos and don’ts of mountain gorillas and then divided into small groups of eight persons each. You will be assigned a ranger guide who will accompany you to and from the forest. Please keep in mind that the walk might be short, medium, or lengthy. After gorilla tracking, you will travel back to the resort for an evening of leisure, dinner, and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer Back to Kigali
After having your breakfast on the final day of your 4 days Uganda gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari, you will check out of your lodge and head back to Kigali with a stopover for lunch enroute. Upon your arrival in Kigali, you will be dropped off at a hotel of your choice or Kigali international airport.
