Guidelines of Gorilla trekking in Uganda: Gorilla trekking in Uganda is one of the rewarding activities that you can participate in for a memorable Uganda safari. The ranger should be the last person behind the gorilla trekking group

The duty of a ranger is to protect the trackers from any attacks during gorilla trekking. It should be noted that the ranger posses a gun which enables him to scare away animals which can be a threat to the trackers.

One hour with the gorilla

Limit movements

When you get in contact with the gorilla families, you should limit noise and movements during the activity this is because to the gorillas you will trigger them as a threat to their well being and this may lead them to attack you which can be fatal there fore for tourists to have a safe activity during their Uganda safari.

Avoid eye contact with gorillas

Mountain gorillas are a very interesting species that can be triggered easily for them to attack you but with the right measures, you will have a safe activity. During your contact with the gorillas, you should avoid making eye contact with the gorillas because to them it poses as a challenge to them for the strongest which can lead the primates to attack you  Which can be fatal therefore to avoid any attacks, you should avoid making eye contact with the gorillas.

You should avoid littering in the pack during gorilla trekking in order to avoid accidents for animals and primates in the park and because the gorillas are fragile they can contract diseases easily which can be a threat to their existence. Sharing food products with the gorilla is prohibited because it can also contract diseases to the primates in cases where tourists are ill. 

In case of any questions instead of disturbing an inconveniencing another tracking during the activity, you are free to ask the guide who will give you all the relevant information needed during your gorilla trekking experience in Uganda. This is done in order to avoid giving a hard time to trackers and making their gorilla trekking experience irritating.

You should maintain a distance of 7 metres away From the primates during gorilla contact with the gorillas to avoid contracting diseases from the gorillas if any and also to avoid the primates contracting diseases from the trackers.

After the one hour with the gorilla elapses, you should make your way back to your staring point this is because the gorillas are a vulnerable species and therefore tourists should give time to the gorillas to feel safe in their habitats and also give them a chance to carry out their daily activities without inconveniencing them.
