Tanzania Safari Packages

Tanzania is one of Africa’s most popular safari destinations. The wildlife watching is spectacular, with large cats being particularly visible. The highlight sought after Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) may be found in a variety of Tanzanian parks and reserves, including the Ngorongoro Crater Area and Serengeti National Park. Almost 40% of the nation is protected and set aside for conservation, making it possible to embark on a Tanzania safari for one or two weeks and drive from park to park without leaving the wilderness.

Tanzania provides visitors with some of the most varied safari experiences in Africa, from seeing millions of wildebeest, zebra, and other antelope move across the Serengeti plains to climbing to the snow-capped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro or enjoying a refreshing drink on the white sand beaches of Zanzibar.

Tanzania, a dynamic and stunning nation with outstanding parks and reserves, is endowed with the winning mix of stunning tropical beaches and unmatched wildlife watching. When exploring Tanzania’s tourist destinations, it is best to divide it up into four circuits, which include;

  1. Northern Circuit

The Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, Tarangire National Park, and Mount Kilimanjaro are all included on the most well-traveled Tanzania safari itinerary.

  1. Coastal Islands

The country’s beaches, particularly on islands like Zanzibar, are breathtaking and easily accessible.

  1. Southern Circuit

The southern circuit includes the gloriously wild and underappreciated Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous) and Ruaha National Park, two of Tanzania’s best-kept safari secrets. Ruaha National Park in southern Tanzania is named after the Hehe term meaning ‘river’. The Great Ruaha River flows through this conservation area and is critical to the wildlife and populations that live beyond its borders.
Ruaha, Tanzania’s second-largest national park, is a huge wilderness area with a diverse range of animals. Because of the low tourist numbers, a safari here seems isolated and intimate.

Nyerere National Park, formerly known as Selous Game Reserve, is Africa’s largest national park, located in the southeastern area of Tanzania, East Africa. The Rufiji River forms lakes and deltas across the park, creating a unique ecosystem mix of wetlands and dry grass plains that attracts a diverse range of animals.

  1. Western Circuit

For the best off-the-beaten-path Tanzania safaris, visit Katavi and Mahale in their remote locations.

When is the best time to visit Tanzania?

A Tanzania safari may be planned at any time of year, but the optimal period is determined by your preferences. If watching the wildebeest migration is the major reason for your vacation, you will need to prepare carefully. The best time to witness the migration in Serengeti National Park is from June to October, but you’ll have to remain in different regions of the park at different periods of the migration, and because it all relies on the rain, it’s not entirely reliable.

If you want to avoid the crowds, arrange your hotel in the Serengeti away from the wildebeest migration. The wettest months are March through May, and any safari may be hampered during this period.

Why You Should Visit Tanzania on Safari?

Tanzania is the classic safari destination in East Africa, combining quality and quantity. Wildlife viewing is excellent, and there is an abundance of locations to explore and activities to choose from. In fact, it would be difficult to see all of the attractions in three Tanzania safaris, let alone one.
