3 Days Virunga Gorilla Safari

3 Days Virunga Gorilla Safari: The Virunga national Park is a UNESCO world heritage site and it is one of the oldest parks in Africa. It is located in the DRC and this park is among the few places where you can track the endangered mountain gorillas which are also the biggest highlight of this safari.

With all the travel factors like distance and the likes, this tour starts in Kigali and will end there also. You are going to have three days of great adventure and lasting memories.

Day 1: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Bukima in DRC

Depending on the time you arrive, our representative will receive you and take you around the city of Kigali. Here you have a chance to see the 1994 Genocide memorials and museums. You will also interact with the locals and see how the Rwandese culture works. You will also see the great infrastructural development in this Africa’s cleanest city.

Later on in the afternoon, you will drive to the Rwanda-Congo Boarder for visa clearance into Congo and later transfer to Goma In the DRC . Stay at Bukima Lodge/Mikeno Lodge. FB

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking.

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for gorilla tracking briefing before you head out to hike in search of these endangered species. The trek is usually about 2 hours and then you will spend an hour with the gorillas. Please follow the instructions of your ranger and guide through this activity. The entire activity should be about 6 hours. Depending on your energy levels, you may have and after lunch community walk to interact with the people around the national park. Day 3: Transfer Back to Kigali and Depature.

After a great adventure the previous day, today you will have break fat and drive back to Kigali for you flight back home. On this day you can go interacting with several communities on the way and if you are a bird watcher, just keep you binoculars on a stand by and you will be rewarded. If your flight is a bit late you can have a day room in Kigali just to refresh before the journey home.
