During this 6 days Uganda gorillas and wildlife safari, you will be visiting Murchison Falls National Park which is the largest savannah park in Uganda and home to the world’s most powerful Waterfalls-Murchison Falls. You will get to enjoy scenic game drives in the park and a boat cruise on the Nile River then head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking.

Detailed itinerary for 6 Days Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife Safari.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison falls national park
Given your location, on the first day of the 6-day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife safari, you will be greeted by our driving guide, who will brief you on the safari before departing for Murchison Falls National Park. The tour takes roughly 5 to 6 hours and includes a stop at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary, where you will follow endangered rhinos. After the intriguing rhino tracking, you will head to Masindi town for lunch before continuing on to Murchison Falls National Park, where you will check in, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Following an early breakfast on the second day of the 6 day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive in the park where you will be rewarded with great views of wild animals including buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, warthogs, Oribi, waterbucks, Jacksons hartebeest, bushbucks, giraffes among others which will be grazing in the open plains, predators like lions, leopards, hyenas, different bird species. Following the game drive, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will take an interesting boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, where you will be able to see large herds of hippos in the water, Nile crocodiles basking on the banks, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs drinking water along the shores, and water birds such as hornbills, cormorants, kingfishers, fish eagles, bee-eaters, and others. Following the boat excursion, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Fort Portal
On the third day of your six-day Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and proceed to Fort Portal after breakfast. On the journey, you will stop for lunch and take in the breathtaking landscape, including the Rwenzori mountain ranges, Lake George, crater lakes, and tea plantations. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for supper and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Following breakfast on the fourth day of your 6-day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda, which is home to half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. On the way, you will stop for lunch in Kabale area before continuing on to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for supper and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
On day five of your 6-day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife safari, after an early breakfast, you will take a packed lunch and meet your driver guide to proceed to park headquarters for a gorilla hike briefing. Following the briefing, you will begin hiking into the forest, which will take between 30 minutes and 7 hours depending on where the gorillas are situated. During the journey, you will see other monkeys, woodland birds, and other plant species, among others.
When the gorillas are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, where you will be able to observe their daily activities such as feeding, breastfeeding, grooming young ones, observing their behaviors, taking photos, and recording the breathtaking moments.
After the gorilla trekking adventure, you will either return to the resort or participate in an optional cultural excursion that will let you to engage with the locals. After the cultural trip, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and stay.
Day 6: Departure to Kampala/Entebbe
On the final day of your 6-day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife safari, after a leisurely breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet your driver guide for the journey to Kampala. On the journey, you’ll stop for lunch in Mbarara before continuing on to the Equator to take photographs and buy souvenirs. From the Equator, you will travel to Kampala, arriving in the evening, where you will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or at any other location advised.
