Join us on this 6 Days Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee Habituation Safari. During this safari, you will be spending up to four hours with mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest National Park and chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park in western Uganda.

Detailed Itinerary for 6 Days Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee Habituation Safari
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your driver and transferred to your booked hotel. Dinner will be served at your lodge.
Day 2: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will be picked up and sent to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, which is located in western Uganda about 540 kilometers from Kampala by car. You will make a stop at the equator for photography and experimentation, followed by lunch in Mbarara. Proceed to Bwindi Forest National Park, arriving in the evening.
Return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Gorilla habituation experience
Have an early breakfast and then drive to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing from the ranger guides before heading into the forest for your hike. Gorilla habituation in Bwindi entails visiting a semi-habituated gorilla family that is in the process of habituation.
This adventure takes all day, and you have 4 hours to spend with the gorillas. After the habituation experience, have your packed lunch and meet your guide. You will then travel back to your lodge for a break. Dinner and stay at the Lodge, as described above.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
After having your breakfast, check out of your hotel and meet up with your driver guide. You will drive to Kibale Forest National Park which is approximately a 5-6 hours drive. You will have lunch en route to the park and upon your arrival in Kibale, you will check in at your lodge and spend the rest of your evening relaxing at leisure. Alternatively, if you wish to explore, you can visit Bigodi Swamp for a guided birding experience or take a guided nature walk in Kibale National Park.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Habituation Experience
Breakfast will be served early in the morning at your lodge. You will then drive to the park’s briefing point where you will be briefed and put in a group of fellow trekkers. You will then embark into the forest in search of a chimpanzee group, accompanied by a team of researchers, primate doctors, and park rangers. Once you have located a group, you will be given four hours to spend with them as you watch and study them. Have your packed lunch and then head back to base where you will find your driver waiting for you.
Retire back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer back to Entebbe
You will enjoy breakfast and transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe with a stopover for lunch en route and also an optional visit to the equator monuments in Kayabwe. Proceed to Kampala/Entebbe arriving in late afternoon. You will be dropped off at the hotel in either Kampala/Entebbe as you advised or at Entebbe airport for your onward flight back home.
