The trail begins by traversing through farmland to the stop border, following which it follows a thick wood along the Mubuku Stream, crossing its Mahoma Stream offshoot shortly before commencing a lengthy, arduous climb up onto a massive escarpment to reach Nyabitaba lodge.

Mount Stanley and Mount Speke may be seen from the Nyamuleju shake protect lately as they travel through the zone of giant heather, lobelia, and groundsel. After crossing through the tiresome plain, we finally arrive at John Matte Cabin for supper and an overnight stay. The ascent takes around 7 – 8 hours.

Day 3: John Matte- Bujuku Camp (3962m)
From your cabin/camp, John Matte, the trail descends to cross the Bujuku Stream and reaches Lower Bigo Lowland, home of giant lobelias.
