This 5-days Murchison Falls and Kibale National Park safari includes visits to two national parks, a boat cruise on the Nile River, wildlife viewing, as well as chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National Park. Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe and Departure.

Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
Transfer and Ziwa Rhino Tracking: Following your arrival, a guide from our Rwanda travel business will meet you at Entebbe airport with your driver / guide to welcome you and begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, you may visit the Ziwa rhino reserve and eat lunch in Masindi. Enter the park through the Kichumbanyobo gate and explore the top of the falls before continuing to the lodge. Dinner and stay at your choice of Lodge.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
Morning Game Drive: After breakfast, you’ll go on an early morning game drive, which will begin at 7am. At 7 a.m., you will take a boat in Paraa to transfer to the northern half of the national park, which is rich in animals. The game drive lasts around 1-2 hours in the park and can be escorted by a qualified ranger. During the game drive, you will have the opportunity to see warthogs, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, and a variety of bird species such as saddle-billed storks, magnificent grey-crowned cranes, gorgeous black-headed spur-winged lapwings, and many more.
Afternoon Boat Cruise: Return to your accommodation for lunch, then head to Paraa for an afternoon boat excursion that begins at 2 p.m. The launch travels north down the Victoria Nile to the base of the falls. It can take up to three hours to provide travelers with breathtaking views of animal species such as Nile crocodiles, elephants, hippos, buffalos, and certain bird species like as the white egret, marabou stock, and shoebill stock.
Later retire back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Transfer to Kibale National Park: After having breakfast at your accommodation, you will depart for Kibale Forest National Park, stopping for lunch in Hoima or Kagadi along the way. This is a full-day journey, and you will arrive in Kibale in the evening. You will then travel to your lodge for supper and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
Wake up early and have breakfast at your lodge and report to the park headquarters for a briefing, followed by chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. Enter the Kibale forest National Park to find the enthusiastic chimpanzee family. Tracking chimpanzees in their native habitat, swinging from the branches of the canopy high above the forest floor, is an exciting experience.
This activity takes between 2-4 hours or more depending on the location of the chimpanzees. It’s always recommended to carry some snacks with you in case you get hungry during the trek. You can then have hot lunch at your lodge at the lodge after your chimpanzee trekking experience.
Later in the afternoon/evening after you have had lunch and rested, you can head out to Bigodi for a guided nature walk in Bigodi Swamp. Here you will view a number of bird species including the historic Shoebill Stalk and highly sought after African Pitta, Blue-headed Bee-eater, Masked Apalis, Cassin’s Spinetail and the Nahan’s Francolin.
Later drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe and Departure.
Have a relaxed breakfast meal at your lodge before checking out. You will meet your driver guide at the reception and then embark on your return journey back to Kampala/Entebbe with a stopover for lunch en-route and a visit to the equator in Kayabwe for some pictures at the equator monuments and also visit the nearby craft shops in case you want to grab a few souvenirs. Upon your arrival in Kampala/Entebbe, your driver guide will drop you off at a hotel of your choice or at Entebbe international Airport in case you have an evening flight out of Uganda.
