3 Days Lake Mburo National Park Safari : Lake Mburo national park is located in the western part of Uganda in Kiruhura district in Nyabushozi County near Mbarara district. It is the smallest national park amidst the 10 national parks in Uganda because it is on an area of approximately 260 square kilometers. The Banyankore are the local people surrounding this park with a cultural museum just near the Sanga gates outside the park known as Igongo cultural center where the items that represent the customs and history of Ankole kingdom are kept. This trip will start and end in Kampala.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Lake Mburo national park.
On the 1st day, a guide from Explore Rwanda Tours will pick you from a hotel in Kampala and you embark on a journey to lake Mburo national park. You will have a stopover for lunch and proceed with your journey to the park. Once you reach to Lake Mburo national park, you will check in a hotel for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning game drive and an evening boat cruise
On the 2nd day, you will have breakfast in the morning at the lodge and go for an early morning game drive. You will be able to view different wildlife species while on the game drive and these include different birds like African fin foot, Papyrus Gonolek, Grey crowned crane, African fish eagle, Yellow-ramped tinker bird among others, mammals like leopard, oribis, hippo, hyena, water buck, topi, zebra, impala, eland, buffalo among others and primates like vervet monkeys and baboons.
After the game drive, you will go back to your lodge for lunch and later come back for an evening boat cruise where you will get the chance to see a variety of birds and mammals.
Later you will retire to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Visit to Igongo cultural center and departure to Kampala
On the 3rd day, you will have breakfast at the lodge, check out the lodge and proceed to Igongo cultural center. While at this place, you will be able to see the ancient traditional items that represent the customs and history of the Ankole people that are kept in this museum. You will have a tour around the place under the guidance of the guide.
Your guide will then take you back to Kampala.
