Detailed Itinerary for 6 days Tanzania Wildlife Safari with Hot Air Balloon

Day 1: Pickup from Arusha and Transfer to Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive, complete with a picnic lunch. Tanzania’s third-largest national park is noted for its giant baobab trees, which dominate the landscape and dwarf the animals that graze below them. The Tarangire River serves as the park’s centerpiece and is home to some of Africa’s largest elephant populations. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, smaller kudus, buffaloes, Oryx, elands, giraffes, and zebras are all possible sightings here. Following the wildlife drive, you will return to your camp/lodge, where a sumptuous meal awaits you.

Day 2: Drive to Serengeti National Park

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll go to the Serengeti National Park and journey across the never-ending plain grasslands. The Serengeti is undoubtedly the world’s most stunning animal refuge. An afternoon game drive over the boundless plains of the Serengeti will provide you with the opportunity to observe large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, as well as a pride of lions lazing in the shade. A picnic lunch will be prepared during the day-long game drive. The adventurous day concludes with a hearty meal and a pleasant night’s sleep in your accommodations. With a stunning dusk view, this location is the most gorgeous ever.

Day 3: Full Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Following a hearty breakfast, you’ll embark on your full-day game drive at 8 a.m. Today, you will tour the Serengeti National Park’s central area. The famed Serengeti National Park in the northern part of Tanzania is the most famous safari destination due to its large number of lions and leopards. The central Serengeti, known as the Seronera sector, is one of the park’s finest animal areas. It features the Seronera River, which serves as a vital water supply for this area and hence attracts wildlife that is typical of the majority of Serengeti species.

During the off-season of the migration, keep an eye out for the several lion prides that flourish in this region. The relationships and longevity of these lion prides give fantastic wildlife watching opportunities all year. The full-day game drive, which includes a picnic lunch, will end in the evening at around 5 p.m. The long day concludes with a hearty meal and a nice night’s rest at your accommodations.

Day 4: Hot Air Balloon Tour and Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater

You’ll get up early in the morning, have a cup of tea or coffee, have a hot balloon ride, and then depart with a packed meal to ensure you don’t go hungry and can enjoy the game drive in luxury. You will have a good possibility of seeing hunting here because predators are more active at night and early in the morning. They hunted a lot during that period. You will travel from the middle Serengeti to the east, looking for cheetahs, lions on the rocks, and a variety of other species. Remember, we travel to the regulated area (away from the crowds of other safari jeeps) for a wildlife drive to see the stunning dawn over the Serengeti.

The gaming drive will last until early afternoon. Return to your hotel for a hot lunch or bring your own packed lunch. Then, you’ll return to the Serengeti and park your vehicle before driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll witness more lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, and hyenas.

Day 5: Crater Drive

After breakfast, your safari guide will take you immediately to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you will descend almost 600 meters to witness the animals. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a diverse range of wildlife, including herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, elk, warthogs, hippos, and enormous African elephants. Another selling point for this national park is its large predator population, which includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which can be difficult to locate at times.

You’ll go to Lake Magadi, a big shallow alkaline lake in the southwest quadrant and one of the crater’s principal characteristics. Flamingos, hippos, and other waterfowl are common sights here. Then, your safari guide will drive you to Engutoku Tok for a brief walking safari by the hippo pool, where you may relax and use the restroom before driving back to your hotel late afternoon.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park and Drive Back to Arusha

The last day of your safari will begin as normal at 8:00 a.m., following a delicious breakfast. Today’s destination is Arusha via Manyara National Park, where you’ll do a half-day game drive. As you approach the national park, magnificent forests of acacia and mahogany trees begin to set the tone for what lies ahead. The game drive will continue until mid-afternoon, with a short stop for a picnic lunch. During the wildlife drive, keep an eye out for buffalo, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and blue monkeys.

The tree-climbing lions are another attraction in Lake Manyara National Park, although finding them is difficult. During the correct season, millions of flamingos swarm to the beach, turning everything pink. By mid-afternoon, you will depart and travel to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your desired destination about 6 p.m. With a fantastic trip and plenty of memories to treasure, it’s time to say goodbye to your team.
