This tour starts in Kigali and ends in Akagera National Park allowing you to wind up your tour with a short game drive in the park.

Detailed Itinerary for 4 Days Rwanda Gorilla and Fishing Tour
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Upon your arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be met by your driver guide from our company. You will be transferred to your hotel in Kigali.
Note: If your flight arrivals in Kigali within the morning or early afternoon hours, you can take a tour of Kigali city where you will visit the genocide memorial center, Richard Kandt House, Inema Arts Centre and Kimironko market)
Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes NP for Gorilla Trekking and Iby’iwacu Village Tour
Wakeup to an early morning breakfast and report to the park headquarters for briefing and allocation of Gorilla trekking groups. Later, you will head into the cold and misty forested slopes of Volcanoes National Park for your Gorilla trek.
The trek can be anywhere between 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the Gorillas and upon finding them, you will be allowed 1 hour to see and take photos after which you exit the forest.
Have lunch and then proceed for a cultural tour to Ibyi’wacu Village which is located near the national park. Get to watch dance and singing performances from the local intore dance troupe. Later drive to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Kivu for Fishing Tour
After having your breakfast, meet up with your driver guide and take a 30- 45 minute drive to Lake Kivu in Gisenyi. Enjoy a half-day fishing excursion on the lake with experienced local guides. You’ll have the chance to catch tilapia and sambaza (a local sardine-like fish) while learning about traditional fishing methods.
Savor a fresh lakeside lunch featuring your catch (if you’re lucky!) or a selection of local Rwandan cuisine.
Leisure Time:
After lunch, unwind by the lake—take a walk along the shore, go for a swim, or simply relax and enjoy the views. Alternatively, if time allows, you can have a coffee tour at Kinunu Washing Station.
Retire to your resort.

Day 4: Drop off at Akagera National Park
After having your breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and embark on about a 6 hours’ drive to Akagera National Park via Kigali with lunch en-route. Upon your arrival in Akagera, you will be dropped off at your lodge.
