3 Days Nyiragongo Hike from and back to Kigali

3 Days Nyiragongo Hike from and back to Kigali is a short safari that will see you traverse Congo to be able to access Mount Nyiragongo one of the most active volcanoes in the World.

Day 1: Pickup from Kigali & Transfer to Goma

On Day one of the 3 Days Nyiragongo Hike from and back to Kigali safari, you will be met by your driver-guide at your agreed pick up point in Kigali for your transfer to Goma crossing via Goma border/ Grande Barrier Border. You will have a Kigali city tour visiting the Genocide memorial grounds and Kimironko market or you may opt to cross to have the Goma city tour/ town service. You will connect to your accommodation of budget for dinner and overnight with anticipation for the hike the next day. 

Day 2: Nyiragongo Hiking

Wake up and have an early breakfast and report to the Grande barrier to check-in and departure for your hike. You will start this hike from Bukima police post and hike up for about 5 hours with 2 resting points. You will overnight at the summit of Mount Nyiragongo enjoying the spectacular views at the top with Goma city in the background. 

Day 3: Descend Nyiragongo & transfer to Kigali

On day three of this 3 Days Nyiragongo Hike from and back to Kigali safari, you will have breakfast at the top then descend from the volcano and reach the Kibati post by 11 am and connect with your driver-guide to transfer back to Kigali via the Goma border. This is a 4 to 5-hour drive. You may do the Kigali city tour on this day if it was not possible on the first day.
