What involves in gorilla habituation?

For gorilla habituation, you will get the chance to watch how the gorillas are trained to get accustomed to human presence and also for travellers interested, they can take part in the training sessions which will give you four hours with the gorillas hence more time with the species as compared to gorilla trekking which will give you only one hour with the gorillas.

Gorilla habituation permit

For a gorilla habituation permit in Uganda, travellers can access it from a trusted tour operator or from the Uganda wildlife Authority at a price of 1500USD. The permit will give you access to a knowledgeable guide who will give you all the relevant information about the species in the wild, you will also have access to a ranger who will protect you against any vicious animal attacks in the park. Important to note about the ranger is the fact that he will have a fir arm on hand this is not to worry or scare way the trackers while participating in the activity. The ranger carries a gun to protect the trackers that can be attacked by wild animals given the fact that the park is home to a number of wildlife species.

Packing list for gorilla habituation

You should also consider packing some insect repellent because the park is home to a number of disease spreading insects that can cause irritation with their bites among which include the tsetse flies, mosquitoes and many more.
