Gorilla Doctors

The initiative Gorilla Doctors is dedicated to saving both the lowland and mountain gorillas. There is a veterinary team that provides medical care to the injured gorillas usually injured through fights and poaching.

With less than 900 mountain gorillas left in the world, the health of each gorilla is vital and they have to be conserved for the future generations to also see.

The gorilla doctors are in charge of monitoring the health of the gorillas and detect diseases at an early stage such that they are controlled.

They conduct veterinary services and interventions to treat ill gorillas especially those with human infections since these are tragic to their poor immune system.

They are supposed to rehabilitated and take care of the orphaned gorillas that have been saved from poachers.

They are supposed to study and record the health trends of the gorillas to give a good monitoring trend and also predict the outbreaks and curb them

They are in charge of providing sample to researcher and monitoring they use the samples for the right jobs and also monitor the outcomes of their research which in turn they share with everyone.

They are supposed to provide preventive health care to the gorillas inform of immunization and training other people.
