Accommodation in Akagera National Park : The only national park in Rwanda where tourists may see savannah wildlife creatures such as hippos, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, Sitatunga, lions, hyenas, leopards, and impala is Akagera. Visitors to Akagera National Park typically take a one-day safari before continuing on to hike gorillas in Volcanoes National Park or chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe Forest National Park. Visitors can, however, stay in Akagera National Park for considerably longer lengths of time, such as on a two-day or three-day safari.

Akagera Game Lodge

Akagera Game Lodge is a high-end luxury lodge located within Akagera National Park. It is one of the few hotel choices within the national park that provides premium services to its clients.

Akagera Game Lodge is ideally positioned in Akagera National Park’s southern portion. The resort is built on a hill with a view of the beautiful Lake Ihema. The lodge includes 60 large rooms, each with a patio and wonderful views of the lake and other amazing sights in the national park.

Visitors that stay at the lodge will attest that it is more of a hotel than a conventional safari lodge. The services provided to visitors staying at Akagera game lodge are excellent, with the personnel responding to every detail and visitor request. Akagera Game Lodge

Akagera Game Lodge has been managed by Mantis Resorts since 2018 and has undergone a lot of repairs and modifications in the last year. The lodge is still undergoing some renovations until March 2020; however tourists may still use most of the rooms and other sections of the resort.

Among the amenities available to tourists staying at the lodge are a big swimming pool, a well-stocked bar and an ethnic restaurant, a tennis court, free high-speed Wi-Fi internet, board games, free sufficient parking, laundry services, ironing services, luggage storage, and a 24-hour front desk.

Guests staying at the lodge may dine in the resort’s Shoebill restaurant, which serves substantial and delicious foreign and local cuisine. You may also have a refreshing beverage in the lodge’s famed Elephant Bar. Swimming, guided nature walks, game drives, fishing, boat cruises, and bird viewing are among the activities available to visitors staying at Akagera game lodge.

Karenge Bush Camp

Karenge Bush Resort is an upmarket bush camp in Rwanda’s Akagera National Park. The camp gets its name from a Kinyarwanda term, ‘Karenge,’ which translates to ‘small foot’ in English.

This bush camp, located in the northern section of Akagera, is a modest and tranquil lodging option in the national park. The camp is a safari vacation hideaway, with just 6 tents and a maximum capacity of 12 people visiting the national park.

Karenge Bush Camp has two tents that can sleep two people each. The tents are very big and come with facilities such as comfy camp mattresses, solar lighting and lanterns, en-suite bathrooms with hot water, and solar fridges to store your cold drinks.

Visitors staying in the camp are entitled to complimentary breakfast meals, which are given warm to guests based on what they have requested. Visitors may also eat delectable supper dishes while sitting next to a bonfire that has been set in the camp. Magashi Safari Camp

Magashi Safari Lodge is a modern and luxury safari camp located in the extreme north of Akagera National Park. It offers breathtaking views of Lake Rwanyakazinga and is a fantastic place to unwind and relax. The camp, which launched in early 2019, promises to provide high-end lodging in a picturesque safari setting.

The lone accommodation facility, Magashi Safari Camp, is located in the northern section of the park and is intended to be a wonderful addition to a high-end Rwandan safari camp. Magashi Safari Camp provides a wide choice of activities such as guided nature walks, boat cruises, wildlife drives, and swimming at the lodge’s pool, spa treatments, and fitness activities at the well-equipped gym.

Rusizi Tented Camp

Ruzizi Tented Lodge is a straightforward yet pleasant safari lodge with an admirable environmental philosophy. It’s a modest, environmentally friendly resort nestled within the park. Given its closeness to the park’s main gate in the south, the lodge is well-positioned to explore the many landscapes of Akagera. Ruzizi Tented Lodge has been a wonderful addition to Akagera National Park since its inception in 2012.

Considering the power sources, the cuisine provided at the lodge’s restaurant is outstanding, and the setting is lovely and quiet. This lodging facility, which is open all year, is a good place to stop as part of a longer tour across Rwanda.
