This 10 Days Uganda Gorillas and Tanzania Wildlife Safari gives you an opportunity to track mountain gorillas in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and the fly to Tanzania where you will embark on classic wildlife viewing game drives in Tarangire and Serengeti national parks, as well as Ngorongoro Crater Area. This tour begins in Entebbe, Uganda and ends in Arusha, Tanzania.

Detailed itinerary for 10 Days Uganda Gorillas and Tanzania Wildlife Safari.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi National Park
Upon arrival Entebbe airport very early morning or depending on your location in Kampala/Entebbe, you will be picked up to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park located in the western part of Uganda with approximately 540km from Kampala by road. You will have a stopover at the Uganda Equator for photography and the experiment and another stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Proceed to Bwindi arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience – Optional Batwa community tour
You will wake up, have breakfast on the second day of the safari and with your packed lunch meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations during trekking. After the briefing you will start trekking in the jungle in search of the mountain gorillas which takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on where they are located. When the gorillas are found, you will be allowed to spend one hour with the gorillas in their natural habitat learning about their habits, behaviors, taking photos and recording videos. After the one hour interaction with the mountain gorillas you will trek back to the starting point where you will meet up with your driver guide and transfer to the lodge.
The time after trekking can be spent on a village tour or lazing off at the lodge as you savoir the memories of your gorilla trek in Bwindi and prepare for the next day. Dinner and overnight at Lodge as above
Day 3: Transfer to Entebbe
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to Entebbe. On the way you will have en-route lunch in Mbarara town. Upon arrival your driver guide will drop you off at the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Flight to Tanzania (Own booking flight)
You will have breakfast, check out of the hotel and meet up with the hotel representative to transfer to Entebbe airport for your departure flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha airport in Tanzania.
Upon arrival in Tanzania, our company representative will meet, brief and pick you up from the airport, then proceed to your booked hotel, check in relax as you spend your day at leisure. Dinner and an overnight stay at your selected hotel.
Day 5: Full day Transfer to Tarangire National Park Game Drive – Karatu
After breakfast, meet your safari driver for a briefing before you start start your Tanzania safari to transfer to Tarangire national park. It’s about 2-3 hours’ drive and upon arrival, connect for a full day game drive with your packed lunch in search of animals like the herds of Elephants as well as other wildlife species like zebras, hartebeest, elephants, waterbucks, gazelles, Oryx and others. Transfer to your booked lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Drive to Serengeti, En-route Game Drive – Olduvai Gorge
Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, check out and with your packed lunch proceed on a transfer to Serengeti National Park. You shall drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and enjoy sweeping views of the highlands and wildlife en-route. You will also have a stop at Olduvai Gorge for an opportunity to learn about the historical findings of Dr Louis and Mary Leaky.
You shall enter Serengeti National Park. Enjoy your picnic lunch in the wilderness. Proceed to the camp all the while enjoying wild game viewing en-route. Check in at your camp, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Full day in Serengeti national park
You will have breakfast at your lodge as you prepare to engage in a morning game drive around Serengeti National Park. During your morning game drive, you will search for different wildlife species like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hippos, elephants, wildebeests, antelopes, giraffes, hippos, waterbucks and many others. You will have your lunch before another game driving experience in the national park in the afternoon.
Your guide will drive you around the national park in the central part of Serengeti National Park as you look out for different attractions and wildlife species in the distant plains. You will return to your lodge after this experience for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 8: Half day in Serengeti national park, Optional Hot air balloon – Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area,
You will start another day of wildlife viewing in Serengeti National Park with breakfast prepared at your lodge. After having your breakfast, you will engage in a morning game drive around Serengeti national park. Enjoy the beautiful views around Serengeti national park and look out for various wildlife species like elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, antelopes, waterbucks, hippos, hyenas, Dik Dik, kudu and different bird species.
After the game drive, drive to your booked to Ngorongoro conservation area, its about 4 hours’ drive with en-route game viewing. Your dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Optional Activity: Hot air balloon safari
Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater Drive, Maasai Bomas Visit
After breakfast, with your packed lunch head out for full day game drive in the crater. You will descend 600 meters into the crater which is home to numerous wildlife species like the big 5 which includes lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos and elephants. Other wildlife species in Ngorongoro include hyenas, wildebeests, antelopes, cheetahs, antelopes, zebras, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs among others.
There are also different bird species which can be spotted around Ngorongoro crater like ostriches as well as flamingos common along the shores of Lake Magadi. After your game drive around the Ngorongoro crater, you will enjoy a Maasai Bomas visit to interact with the locals, and then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10: Transfer to Arusha – Departure
After a relaxed breakfast, check out and proceed to transfer to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure, bringing your 10 Days Safari to an end.
